A whole new Gavel world

If there was Warbler musical this would be my contribution. Based on A whole new World from Disney’s Aladin, I don’t own the song or the tune, I do however own the gavel.
I hope this will give people some insight on why I love my gavel so. Enjoy;

Shining and splendid

You last let a gavel bang decide?

I can open your eyes
Take you democratic wonder by wonder
Wooden craft and elegance
On a gavel magic tale

A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
You are the only one to tell them no
Or what to sing for solo
Or tell them they’re only dreaming!

A whole new world
A dazzling place you never knew
When you hold a gavel
It’s crystal clear
That now you rule this whole new world with me

Unbelievable sights
Fear and terror in my Warblers eyes
Indescribable feeling
Power, order, bossing them around
Through endless Warbler meetings!

A hundred thousand times to bang my gavel
Hold your breath - it gets better
It’s only for the head council member
I’ve come so far
Just to hold my Gavel every Warbler meeting time

Jar of Smiles

Jar of smiles

The world is full of misery, life can throw you continues low punches. Nature disasters, poverty, bullying, racism to gender, origin or sexuality, suicides, passing of loved ones, illness, failure. There’s so many people that feel empty, alone, useless, underappreciated. Tears keep coming endlessly as so many stand alone.

Life can be hard to keep up with. At a certain moment you just need to stop and take a moment to be happy, to smile.
That is what this project is about.

General idea:
A genuine smile is one of the most beautiful things humans can do. We are one of the few animals capable of smiling when happy, so we should enjoy it to the fullest.
This project is all about smiling and happiness.

The goal is to share your happiness with someone who needs it. A friend in need, a complete stranger who can use an ‘it’ll all be alright’.
The project combines art and creativity with sharing happiness and support. It’s a quite abstract concept but let’s try to make it work anyway. It goes from good intentions and it’d be a pity to let a good smile go to waist.

How it works:
As said before this project is a combination of creativity and good intentions. There are a few guidance’s and I’ll post examples of smiles I’ve been collecting and would like to share.

The first step is to find a container for your smiles. This can be everything. A vase, a box, a jar, a can, a special glass, a drawing of something that could contain things, etc… This step is mostly symbolic. The idea is that you return to this object/idea every time you feel really or truly happy. That you share your best moments and count it as a smile for your jar or smiles. This is an opportunity to be creative and symbolic. Be original and share it with others. You can take something that has personal value for you, a random item, an object you like, everything is possible.

The second step is to find a way to express yourself. Express and share your happiness. This can be done in any possible way; writing, a poem, a drawing, music, photos, art, a thought, an amv, anything you can think of. Find something that reminds you of a happy memory, a joyful though, something that made you smile, that made you feel all warm inside. And share it with others. Work on your project to express your joy and post it on one of the many possible sites out there.

Step three, motivation. It’s always best if you add an explanation to the smile you’re adding to your jar. What is it a for? What was your happy memory, what obstacles did it help you cross. What sadness did you feel before you eased it with this smile? This step is the most optional one. Not everybody shares their woos as easily. However talking about issues can help you move forwards or find closure. Find people that have been through the same thing and are willing to talk about it or have good advice. The goal of the project is to help others as well as yourself sometimes.

So basically
My goal is to share this concept as wide as possible. So share this on any possible way. Tumblr, Deviant, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Photobucket, Fanfiction, whatever way you can think of. My only request is that you please always mention to this as the original. I want to share the idea but let’s call this the home base of project ‘Jar of smiles.’
The best way to share your smile so others can find it is by starting the title of your work with ‘Jar of Smiles’ so all in need can easily find a smile. You can also always dedicate your smile to someone you know really needs it, thank someone with it on turn, etc

If you want to participate in the ‘Jar of smiles’ project, everybody is welcome to join. Share their smiles, pains, ideas, creativity, share their compassion. Things can get better and this is just a small effort for all to try and make things better for both yourself as others. Acceptance, balance and happiness are too often underestimated. Give them a try and it’ll be like a weight lifted of your shoulders.
